Welcome

Hello, I’m Pastor Michael Soop and we are glad that you have visited our site.
Old fashioned Bible believing” is not something the last generation put on the sign and we just forgot to take it down. New Canaan still believes in asking for and walking in the “old paths” The Lord has proved them to be the “good way” and He has provided “rest for the souls” of many families.

At New Canaan, we have watched as the religious world has been caught up in the spiritual equivalent of “the biggest banana split” craze that has left a generation crashing off a “sugar high while still being empty and craving sustenance that can fill the hunger of their soul for what’s real.

While the world scrambles and seeks the new and unique, New Canaan still preaches out of the Bible, still sings out of the songbook,  still prays at the altar, still follows the Spirit, still gives testimonies, still believes in conviction and repentance, and still points souls to the Cross. When today’s trends are tired, it’s songs are stale, the seekers are scattered, and “when time has surrendered and earth is no more” at New Canaan we’ll “STILL CLING TO THE OLD RUGGED CROSS.

New Canaan is a body of believers that demonstrates their love for the Saviour, Scriptures, Saints and Sinners in such a way that old song “There’s a Sweet Sweet Spirit in This Place” has been our unofficial theme song for over 30 years.

It would be our joy to have you stop in and worship with us soon. You may be new to the area or just looking for familiar faith and a friendly face while your passing through. We’re 15 minutes off I-85. Near the Mall of Georgia, Bass Pro Shop, and just a ½ mile from Ga. Hwys 316, 20, and 124.

While you are here today we hope you will be blessed as you click around, read what’s available, listen to our Choir, hear some preaching. We invite you to sign in and learn what were praying for and read what I’m blogging about, or drop us a line to introduce yourself to us.

Until we meet in person, may “The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” Numbers 6:24-26

Sincerely, Pastor Michael Soop
