Good Morning Church,

Num 6:23-27 Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, 24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.27 And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.
1 Sam 1:17
Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.

Luke 24:50-51  And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

THANKS FOR STICKING WITH ME ON SUNDAY as I followed the burden of my heart for the ladies of our Church

As we head to the weekend please take time to be aware and active in prayer for these in our congregation and community. Ray had knee surgery yesterday. He is home with a few week to recover. Stacy Johnson (Wilkerson) spent the day in the E.R. yesterday. They sent her home w/o finding reason or relief for her pain.Thelma had eye surgery Tuesday and is doing well. Danny’s Grandmother passed away last week and they have been in Florida over Mother’s day for the funeral.Claire’s neice Sophie was released while Madalynn in still in the NICU unit @ Eastside. Sherry Grant had a fire in her home last week. They are in need of a house to rent and a place to store their furnishings. Talmadge Howell was diagnosed w/ a growth in his throat and will have to have a biopsy soon. Joyce has been diagnosed with shingles. Her hope is that the Lord will allow her to continue her Church schedule as she goes through this often painful ordeal. Holly is to have her gall bladder removed on Wednesday.

Ben, Betty, Martha Ann, Lauren, Tommy Mosely, Justin, Ryan are all in need of prayer as far as employment.

The following are still in need of encouragement as they face daily needs. Glen, Carroll, Mike Cleg, Grace, Lillie Mae,, Susan’s Aunt, Donnie Hurst, Mr Pattillo, Scott’s mother, Martha Ann’s family, Bob Leatherwood, Bonnie Still, Geneva Bradberry, Suzanne, Bobby Holbrook, Brenda, Wesley and Dorothy, Kathy Booth, Betty Robertson, Peggy Dean, Ann, Howard and Pasty Wages.  Continue to pray for Heather V, Staci, and Heather M. as they go through their pregnencies.

Wendel will be walking our neighborhoods this Saturday @ 11:00 am. May and June ’s opportunities will be gone after this week. How many said they were going to be a part of this ministry this year?  200 contacts are reasonable this week and every week. 50 x’s 4 is a simple goal. What are YOU doing EACH WEEK see our Church touch the lives of others. We all want to see people saved yet we are convinced that someone else should be bringing lost people to the House of the Lord.

Next week the Shumate Family will be with us in the Sunday morning service.  Eddie will be preaching Sunday morning and night. Kyla Rowland will be singing SUNDAY, Monday and Tuesday night as well. Joe Arthur will be preaching MONDAY and TUESDAY. We will not have service on Wed the 30th.

VBS is a few weeks away. The 8th of June.  Please let Martha Ann know that you are willing to help in any way needed.

Good morning Church,

Just a quick note this a.m. Please continue to pray for Donnie as he is still in Crawford Long. They are still seeking the cause for his ailments but so far have been unsuccessful. As of l10:30 last night , Claire’s sister was doing well and expected to be released today. The twins are both in the NICU unit w/ different concerns. They both seem to be stable at this time.  Hannah will have to have heart surgery sometime next month. Please begin to pray about all this situation. I hope that you are still praying for Bobby Holbrook.

The other 30+ names and needs remain mostly the same.

I will update them soon.

PRAY TODAY for the seniors as we go to the big city. We don’t want to lose any to the SHARKS. ( The ones that walk or swim.)

The RELAY FOR LIFE walk begins @ 7:00 on Friday night.

It is a very inspiritional time you should see the strength and courage of so many. The bus leaves @ 6:00

ALL THESE ARE GREAT ways to get the Church out into the community as well as get the community into the Church.      I’m not a soulwinner but I’m gonna be

many made that claim a year ago. It starts w/ involvement and investment.

We still are way short in our contacts we need 100+ each week!        MICHAEL

P.S. As a follow up to the story from the National Guad story from yesterday. It would be worth your time to find a PBS special called “Carrier”. Episode # 1 shows that the world’s most powerful military tool is a”floating highschool”

with all the “drama “that goes w/ spoiled kids. Get past episode # 1 and you will have a great appreciation for men like my dad who served many years on those decks.

Friday needs

April 25th, 2008

Good morning Church,

Thanks for praying for the meeting,

I got home early this a.m. safe, sound, and saddle sore.

I just got word from James Meeks, that his sister Carolyn Pealock is on her way to St.Joseph . They found 4 blockages and are not sure of their course of treatment at this moment. She has asked New Canaan to please pray for her during these hours. Let’s take time to pray for her and James throughout the day today.

I have called Thelma, Claire, and Imogene, for updates and no one has answered my call at this time.

We were asked Wed. night to add Danny’s grandmother, Carroll Dover, Becky’s patient, Cindy Johnson, Frank Otto to our prayers.

I will be telling you more about Margaret Dial soon, but in the meantime please lift her name and her home up in prayer when you pray.

Don’t forget to be there w/ Wendell in the A.M. @  11:00

Hope to see all in SUNDAY SCHOOL this week. This would be a great week to have 100 contacts that’s only 2 each from fifty of the faithful. IS there anyone who can’t invite 2 people every week to Church and Sunday School?

MICHAEL

only once this week

April 21st, 2008

Good morning all,

This will be the only post I will be able to send out this week. If there are updates needed I will have to use the prayer line system.

Continue to pray for Imogene as she has a scan on her knee Tuesday, and other tests next week as well. Thelma is still sick also. Claire’s sister Elizabeth has been hospitalized for the duration of her pregnency. They are still tring to delay delivery for 2 more weeks. Jean Crocker was still in Duluth Hospital as of Saturday night. Russ is to have tests this week. They have found growths on his kidneys.

The following need our care as much of our prayer as they deal with continual needs. Glen, Mike Cleghorn, Grace, Lillie Mae, Susan’s Aunt, Donnie Hurst, Donnie Fuller, Mr Pattillo, Scott’s mother, Martha Anne’s family, Bob Leatherwood, Betty Robertson, Geneva Bradberry, Susanne, Bobby Holbrook, Richard Posey,Brenda, Jeff Tullis, Wesley & Dorothy,

Continue to pray for Ben, Tommy Mosely, Betty, Jeff, & Justin, about business and jobs.

I hope that you will encourage ALL the young people to get together at the Thompson’s on Saturday evening. I noticed that it’s Lindseys Birthday. She has done a great job reaching out to our teens in the last several months. Let’s get together and enjoy some good fellowship with this family. If you cant’t get by to sign up  just call me Martha Anne .

Yes, the Financial Worksop IS OPEN to non members. I hope that you will use it as a way to reachout to your non churched friends and families.

I hope that there are several more who are willing to go out into the neighborhoods with Wendell and Gil on Saturday.

Thanks to the men’s and ladies’ classes for the good fellowship meal last night.          MICHAEL

P.S.

I still am hoping to recieve about 10 more out of the 30 envelopes that have not been turned back in. Just drop them in the box in the foyer. Thanks again to the 50-60 who placed their’s in the box but even more appreciation goes to those who put into the plate faithfully each week all through the year.
