catch up (partially)

November 3rd, 2008
Good evening Church,

Continue to pray for Carla, Justin and the rest of
Ronnie’s family. The visitation will be on Wednesday from 11-9 and the funeral
will be Thursday at 2:30. @ Tim Stewart’s Lawrenceville.

I will be building the list back up as the days go
by. We have several pressing needs that we will focus on as we start the week
and will add those whose needs are on going as we go forward.
Travis is still seeking employment, as well as Tommy
Mosely
Jan has further tests on Wednesday.
Betty Parr has cancer surgery on Tuesday. Carole
Smith
goes back to the cardio Dr. on Thursday. Lindsey
B
has had a difficult few weeks and needs our prayers and
encouragement. JoAnne Stephens gets her oncology plan on
Thursday. Lottie, Donnie, Mike Cleghorn as well as Mike
Clay
also need our prayers. please pray for Katy, Tina, Allen ,
Callie, and Caleb
as well. As we mentioned earlier, Dean
Bowen
is under hospice care at this time. Bro Glen
could use a call or visit from his Church and Class. Any time you pray for our
grandchild we would be grateful.

Today it’s Ar.and Az. on Tuesday it’s Ca.and Co. It
seems most appropriate that we pray for the left coast as they have a vote to
overturn their state’s S. Court ruling on biblical marriage.  How sad that
the “christian bishops” are on the wrong side of the Word and the cults are on
the right side of it. YES, OUR COUNTRY NEEDS PRAYER BY THE BOATLOAD.

I hope you will support the prayer service on
Wednesday night like you would want others to if it was your family that had
recieved a letter of invitation, indicating that you and your loved ones were
facing hardships.

These may not be all we should be praying
for but we should be praying for all these.

What a blessing to see 94 in
Sunday School.  Now that we are where we should be let’s all work
to be where we could be for the GLORY OF THE LORD.  Call, Care, Commit,
It always has and always will make a difference.

October 31st, 2008
Good morning Church,
Just wanted to let you know that Lindsey was released last evening. They ruled out all the major things w/o really finding out an exact diagnosis. Like all,  they would like to know more but know enough to be glad about what has been ruled out.
Be careful tonight, Remember time changes Sat night.

Michael

HE’S BAAAACK !!

October 30th, 2008
Good Morning New Canaan,
It’s good to be home and yes, it was good to be away
You might have forgotten but the trip did start w/ revival. 5 hours a day in service and 2 hours a day driving. PRAISE THE LORD, we had a great meeting and 2 saved on Thursday night.
The trip ended w/ renewal as we celebrated our 30th.  Thanks for allowing us the time away.
Do you realize that there has not been a week in 31 years that Felicia or myself and usually both have not had obligations at New Canaaan ? What a blessing it is to be able to hang around such a great place and people for such a period of time.
We came home a day early as we could not stand to miss the 1st freeze of the year. Yes we had ice in our birdbaths.
I appreciated the service last night. Many thanks to those who stepped up and stood in during our absence. Shame on those who felt it was good time to step out of their place of service.
I have heard many good things about the fall fellowship on saturday.  What a great encouragement to hear of those who did so much to help out.
As you pray please remenber Lindsey Thompson. She
is in Scottish Rite.  Beth Robertson contacted me this am and asked us to pray for her grandmother Dean Bowen as they have placed her under Hospice care in the nursing home.Ronnie Gee has been moved to a new facility closer to his Sister. We have been asked to pray for Buddy’s aunt, Betty Parr, and Joanne Stephens as well.
Continue to pray for Lottie as they feel she is still not gaining weight quickly enough.
NOVEMBER IS A TIME FOR PRAYER. We satrt the 30 days of Praying 4 America with a kick off service on Saturday the 1st at 6:00 p.m. Day 1 calls for us to ask for a great out pouring of the Spirit of God upon our nation as well
as intercession for our president and vice president.
November the 5th is our 3rd community prayer service.
Our FORTNIGHT starts the 9th
The Fortune Family is scheduled to join our prayer service on the 16th.
I hope you will join join me this month as we seek to enlist others to PRAY FOR OUR NATION, SERVE OUR LORD & WORSHIP OUR KING.
TIME CHANGES SATURDAY NIGHT. FALL BACK 1HOUR AND LAND IN SUNDAY SCHOOL.          Michael
