Good day to all, Remember no service at NC tonight. as we focus on the next 3 days. We still need some grills and some grillers for Saturday as well as slaw.
Thanks to those who have held back or paced yourself during the youth meeting as we will need your help us to feed about 15 to 20 on Sunday after morning service.

SPECIAL NOTICE: We have planned a recreation time for Friday afternoon between services. We will eat a quick sandwich then go to Stars and Strikes in Dacula from 2-5. With the help of the Church, young people will have the opportunity to bowl for 2 hours, play 2 rounds of lazer tag, take 1 spin on the bumper cars, and have a 5$ game card for only 10 smackaroos each. (this includes tax, tag, title, and shoes) This is not a baby sitting service and all children under 9 will need to have an adult to accompany them. They will need to attend Church dressed for Church then if so desired they can change into Church Youth Group Appropriate clothes for the afternoon .Children can be picked up there by 5. Please contact me to let me know who will be joining us.

College and Career and Young Families: This is your meeting and we need you to do the greeting. We need 4 of you in the foyer 30 minute BEFORE each service starts. Can someone please step up and schedule these slots and follow up on them.? Thanks

TEENAGERS you all need to be working the pews 30 minutes before service and the tables during the meals to make ALL OUR guests young and old feel welcomed.

Please continue to pray about the heat. I know we will live through it (we’ll just call it Youth Jubilee) if it does not break, but it will be one less hindrance if it moderates. OUR LORD IS ABLE.

As we mentioned earlier the Please pray for Lillie Mae and her family especially, Linda, Liz and Wendel as today she is to be moved to a personal care type home. I know they are dealing with many emotions and with a family that big no doubt many opinions. Lift them before the Lord as you go throught this week.

Tim and Teresa’s family still need our prayers as well. As of last night Lawrence’s sister was still in a rehab center in Warm Springs, while her son is in Jax having heart surgery/ procedures today. Mrs England’s sister is still in GMC with the family being advised to make hospice plans.

We realize many needs continue in many families, these are just some of the more fluid situations as of this moment. See you on Thursday night.

Again, I remind all our adults that even if you are not planning to attend these services your leadership is still needed to see that they are ATTENDED TO in a way that reflects well on our Congregation and our Lord.

Look around our community, there are hundreds of young people who could be included in these meetings. Let’s be busy in getting them here. Michael

Good day all, The world has tilted even further. My 73 year old dad and my 72 year old mom who have had a computer for all of 19 days are now on facebook.
That is just wrong on so many levels. I heard something about them drinking fraps, and macchiatos and listening to Justin Bieber also but I plugged my ears.

As you pray, Please continue to pray for the meeting this week and all things related. It was 75 degrees in Lville last night at 7:30. I’m only asking for 85 on Thursday. Our God is ABLE !! Are we ASKING??? We still need several to help us attend TO the meeting this week. From Greeting to Grilling we lack some commitments to some needed areas. Please pray for these as well: Grier family (Tim’s aunt), Marie is scheduled to be at St. Joe’s early Thursday, Emily, Lillie Mae and her family as they make the transition to a personal care home, Nancy and Grace as they await tests results, Stanley, as well as all the rest of our ongoing needs.

Did you hear they had the 1st tornado in NYC in 50 years Sunday night? I don’t know if it’s related but Emily got there and found out it was 97 and they don’t have AC and they don’t put ice in their drinks and then someone told her they don’t care how Y’all do things in the south.

In case your are interested, you can check out hpcampmeeting.com and click on youth jubilee to hear the choir and services. It is also all over facebook and utube I hear.

Thanks to the Lord for the great day Sunday. I really appreciate all who backed the pm service. Great attendance and touch on a sweltering evening.

You heard it here 1st. TENOR SCHOOL starts the 8th of August. This is new and needed as we devote 4 practices: the 8th, 11th, 22nd, and 25th to this difference making portion of our Choir. MEN MAKE PLANS now to be at all 4 of these practices.

Thanks for all you do. We may not be writing down our thoughts, prayers, actions, and efforts, but we can be sure they are being recorded. Michael

Hi Guys, well the glory fell last night. Thanks for allowing our young people to see things that others only have heard their grandparents talk about, not only allowing them to see this, but positioning them to be among those that have birthed, built and brought these days to hundreds of young people from several states. It may not get many flags on the flag-o-meter(six flags) but We have been blessed to lift up our banners in the name of the Lord

As I hope that you are aware, Miss Grace did well and the results are expected to be non threatening. She is recovering in GMC. I hope that several will get by to see her while we are away. Tim England’s niece was dismissed from the hospital. They do not have a cause yet but she has improved greatly. Rickey finally had his mri . They hope to find a cause for his pain soon. Ben’s brother Alton is to have one as well. Add Joyce to our list as well as Lillie Mae and her family as they are facing difficult days and decisions.Miss Johanna is still recovering. Maybe you can call her as you head to the hospital this afternoon to see Grace. Miss Dorothy got a report from her tests.

Pray for us as some are on the road at this time and we will be on the road tomorrow at this time. We had 23 when all got here. Michael

Good evening all. What a great day, pool time (baptismal) & preaching time in the am and prayer time in the pm. I’m glad in the midst of a “I don’t know what the Lord wants” world that he clarified it so succinctly thousands of years ago and recorded it for eternity to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly the the Lord your God.

We spent time in prayer for these and their needs in an altar of prayer tonight in place of preaching. I ask you to take time to do the same throughout the week.
Suzanne Potter, the Moon family, Mandy, Dorothy, Grace, (we need some to get by the hospital for her surgery and recovery) Nancy, Johanna, Delphia’s parents, Stanley, Rickey, Hope, Brenda, Sammy, J.T. Eddie Shumate, Lawrence’s sister as well as all the rest of our elderly.

I give you the same challenge I gave those in attendance tonight. Take time to write down those you pray for, call, correspond with, or stop in to see this week. Then when the week is over bring the paper with you to the Lord’s House Sunday.

As I type I am listening to the last night of last year’s Jubilee. O what a Saviour we have,. O how His Spirit is sweet, O how these services are special.
We have no guarantee that we will even get there tomorrow, or how it will be through the week. But based on 12 years of history, It’s a trip I’d want to take before the cloud of glory lifts off the tabernacle. PLEASE PRAY FOR US AS WE TRAVEL AND TRY TO FIND THE WILL OF THE LORD FOR THESE DAYS.

We love you New Canaan and thank you all allowing this generation of young people to learn what it is to give and go for the good of others and the glory of the Lord. As Susan said years ago anybody can slap paint on a fence, but it takes the hand of the Lord on the heart of His people to WORSHIP and witness the things we have seen Him do for hundreds of people for a dozen years. See you soon Michael

Good day to all,

I hope you have taken time (several of them) to thank the Lord for HIS TOUCH yesterday. If you have not I suggest that there is no time like the present. The Lord did in 15 minutes what pastors and parents and peers could not do in a summer. It’s amazing what focusing on HIM can do for our hearts and lives. No wonder this world and it’s powers are all geared to take that focus and put it on everything else. Kudo’s to Brian for such a good job on the hardest day of the year for a Chorister.

WOW to the Ladies. The loaves and fishes cafe went super biblical yesterday. I even saw some bring in one bowel and leave with 5 bags. Someone needs to pin a rose on Aubrey. I thing she washed more dishes at her 1st Homecoming than some have in 30 years worth.

I preached in Tn last night. (midnight in case you wondered when I got home) A brand new building (only the 4th Sunday) 80 by 130 all inside. 2 rooms beside the baptistry and 3 rooms off the foyer, the rest is sanctuary. You should see the platform. 60 chairs in the choir, 8 guitar players and a drum cage. I have never preached in such a building. I start a six night revival there next month. PLEASE PRAY for this meeting.

AS you pray IMOGENE has been called this am to Warner Robbins. Her last sibling, Raymond, is expected to pass soon. Johanna hopes to hear from her biopsy on Tuesday. Many other needs continue, Remember Brian and Tommy’s job situation.

I don’t ask often, but I would ask your prayers for our home. After today our world as far as we have grown comfortable with is changing. Felicia’s being able to work part time has allowed her to do SO MANY THING for our CHURCH, other Churches, her family, especially Gretta, funerals, revivals and many things that allowed me the flexibility to be a very hands on pastor for 20 years. In the short term there will be adjustments, in the long term we will be looking for alternatives. Either way we will need HIM to accompany us.

ALL HANDS ON DECK. Tuesday night we may have to split up depending on Mr. Dobson’s status. We can do it if we have to if all will do what they can do. Th
I will keep you up to date. Please plan to meet at 6:30 to go with us to Midway Baptist Church.

UPDATED UPDATED UPDATED UPDATED before Imogene could get out of the driveway word had come that her brother has passed. They will now wait until plans are made before they go down to be with the family so she will be home until further word.

Michael

Good evening all, Miss Johanna’s surgery went well but they found some concerns that will not be settled till the pathology report comes back next week. She is in Snellville and hope to be released on Saturday. Mike Freeman is expected to be released from Emory on Friday. Teresa’s aunt is undergoing treatment to try to strengthen her that she might have additional surgery. Tim’ s cath is set for early on Friday at St Joe.

Homecoming is Sunday. No Sunday School. With all who were away for the 4th and our midweek service being off site it would be a real help for some who get this update to take time to call those you are aware do not keep up electronically with our announcements. Thanks Michael

PS. We need a few men (teens would work fine) to meet at the Church at 10:00 am Saturday to move tables and chair to prepare for lunch on Sunday

Hi guys,

Thanks to those who went to represent New Canaan in our community last night. I appreciate the faithfulness and willingness of that portion of our congregation who consistently support the ministry of our Church that goes beyond 922 Hi-Hope and 12:00 each Sunday. It’s a step many will never take and some have even took back. I hope that we do not grow so reluctant to share the tremendous musical blessings we enjoy that the Lord would take them and give them to another.

Matt 25:16-19Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

Matt 25:25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

Matt 25:28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
(doesn’t it seem a Church either has an abundance of musical talent or an absence of it? Hmmm I wonder)

Luke 12:48 For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

I’m sure that I do not have the speed of the social sites, but to those who have not yet heard, Tim has to return to St Joseph Friday am for another heart cath.
Please be mindful of this as you pray. Johanna is to have surgery on Thursday at Eastside. It is a big surgery and she will be in till at least Saturday. I wanted to get this out to you so that some of the ladies would have time to reach out to her today or tonight. Teresa’s aunt came out of surgery late last night, which was unsuccessful. They are preparing to go back to surgery again today. At this time she has a level of paralysis, the duration of which in unknown. This is Lawrence’s sister Louise. Continue to remember Rickey also. Michael
