Good Morning Church,
Jason’s dad is in icu at the V.A. following surgery. He is expected to be in the hospital for a week. They were encouraged yester day with his condition an the outcome of the operation. There will still be more scans in the future.
We were asked yesterday to pray for Mike Clay as well as Truman Blackstock as awell as continuing to pray for Donnie and all the others on our list. My mother is to have a stress test today in hopes of being cleared for her 2nd hip replacement surgery next week.
As we look around and are overwhelmed by the task that is set before us as the Body of Christ it is a great joy to know that The Lord has not left us w/o adequate resources to meet every responsibililty that we have to WALK, WITNESS, & WORSHIP in a way that he will commend and not condemn when the Church stands before him.
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Religion has told us that we are fighting w/ one hand behind our back and the fight is not fair so we must change our tactics. REALITY teaches that untill we tie the other hand behind our back we will never trust fully and faithfully in the real source of our strength and stability
Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
John 15:4-5 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
PLEASE PLAN TO BE AT THE SQUARE ON THE 4TH OF SEPTEMBER. WE WILL BE COMBINING ALL OUR CHOIRS TO SING A FEW SONGS AS NEW CANAAN LEADS OUR COMMUNITY IN PRAYER @ 7:00. IF IT RAINS WE WILL MOVE UPSTAIRS TO THE 2ND FLOOR OF THE OLD COURTHOUSE.. THIS IS GIFT OF AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPOSE OUR CITY OUR WORSHIP AND WITNESS. YOUR CHURCH NEEDS YOU TO BE HERE W/O EXCUSE
Wendel had to walk by himself last week. I hope someone will consider being there w/ him Saturday.
